My experience buying a new car at Heritage was a good one. The sales agent was low-key, there were no gimmicks and the negotiation was straightforward. Altogether one of the best I've been through!
Although they seemed nice and friendly when I called and towed my completely dead car to them, they tried to upsell me and tell me I needed all sorts of things fixed. They wanted to charge $1000 for a job that should have cost $500. They said I needed a new ignition coil, and they could get the engine running "dirty" if they did that - then the other repairs needed to be done. I said fix the engine coil and I'll drive it out of there to a local VW repair shop that I had heard about. They told me I wouldn't be able to drive it out of there and my only choice was to go with them, junk it or tow it. I said "watch me" and drove it to Desmond's - they were fantastic and told me half of the repairs MileOne told me I needed immediately were not dire - the timing belt, for example, had many more miles on it.
You will be ripped off, and you will be treated like dirt.
YAYUH! I had my Mazda 6 re-repaired there after another body shop did a less than perfect job then had to take it right back after my car got in a fight with a Bus. lol! Excellent work and I am extremely meticulous but up to my standards of perfection. You guys are awesome. Thanks Heritage. :-)
Trust me, you WILL regret it.
The salesmen are dry and extremely RUDE.
It's worth the drive to another volkswagen dealership.
